Welcome to SuprasiteTMMethodologyIntroduction to Design Project MethodologyThis website introduces standards or baseline requirements that are essential for effective design project management. Specifically it provides the methodology for each phase of the design process and will help you perform the tasks of each phase. Project management standards exist to provide a valuable framework to guide the evolving development process. They establish a consistent, repeatable, time-saving approach to streamline the design, development, and delivery of your project. They also help you create criteria to help measure your program's effectiveness for both yourself and your clients. Design Standards provides a framework for the design process. Comprehensive, consistent guidelines and requirements are helpful and necessary for both PROCESS (design, development, delivery, and evaluation) and the final DELIVERABLES (outcomes of the process) Assumptions
It is assumed that you are familiar with the ID process. Therefore, the workshop does not address how to perform the specific tasks. Instead, it focuses on the tasks that should be completed to meet the Standards and produce appropriate training. Workshop DesignThe Standards Workshop is actually a set of 5 sessions: Overview of the Training Standards Analysis Design and Development Delivery Project Management Although they are highly integrated, take only those sessions that are most appropriate for your role. Overview of the Training Standards is a one hour high level introduction and orientation to the Standards. Opportunities to become familiar with the Standards Guide are provided. The remaining sessions are based on a scenario to provide the context within which you can use the Standards. Designed to be a highly participative, stimulating experience, you can use the Standards in a less formal and less structured setting. Each session includes a variety of activities so you can practice completing the tasks and key subtasks detailed in the Standards Guide and understand the reasons for the rigor recommended by the Standards.
